• What is ResidentDirect Payments Services?
    • ResidentDirect, offered by RealPage Payments Services (RPPS), is a payment solution that offers online payments via your Tenant Portal .
    • Tenants and applicants pay a service fee to RealPage for all bill payment services rendered.
  • What payment types are accepted?
    • Online ACH, Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, and American Express® debit / credit cards are accepted for one-time and recurring payments.
    • Through ResidentDirect, tenants and applicants will pay RPPS for all online transactions directly.
  • How does this affect me as a tenant?
    • We have added the ability for our tenants to use multiple payment accounts and to schedule one-time payments for a future date.
    • Tenants can access the “My Payments” tab in the online portal and then begin their transactions.
    • Tenants will need to complete all required fields including an email address so RPPS can send a payment receipt.
    • Tenants must also agree to the ResidentDirect Terms and Conditions in order to make a payment.
    • All transaction information is validated, and successfully completed transactions will post to your tenant ledger in real-time.
  • What are the transaction fees?
    • RPPS will charge tenants a reasonable fee for rent transaction processing.
    • The fee is between 2 –3 percent of the average rent amount rounded to a whole dollar with a $3.50 minimum.
    • The service fee on applications is $5.00 per application.
    • Service fees are subject to change at the discretion of Real Page Payments Services (RPPS).
    • PPEC Realty is not responsible for service fee amounts and changes.
  • Are there any transaction limits?
    • Yes, the daily transaction limit is $3,000.00, including the transaction service fee per payor.
  • How will tenants know about this new service?
    • RealPage will email all tenants periodically to notify them of the service, additional enhancements available on the portal, and the need to update their recurring payments if applicable.
  • Who will tenants need to contact if they have payment questions?
    • PPEC Realty staff will continue to manage questions related to tenant ledger balances and charges.
    • Tenant questions concerning online payment processing via ResidentDirect will be handled by RealPage Payments Services’ dedicated email and phone support team: Consumer support: 1-844-530-5785 or RealPagePaymentsServices@RealPage.com
  • Can PPEC Realty staff submit payments for tenants from the office?
    • No, PPEC Realty staff is not authorized to set up or modify any online payment accounts or payment schedules via tenant portal, nor do they have the functionality to do so.
    • PPEC Realty staff can delete tenants online payment accounts as well as payment schedules upon request.
  • Can PPEC Realty log in to the tenant portal and set up a payment account or make payments for a tenant?
    • No, only a tenant is able to set up a payment account or schedule payments.
  • Will tenants receive payment confirmations?
    • Yes. Once the tenant completes the process and hits submit, the payment confirmation with a unique confirmation number will display on the tenant’s screen and the tenant will receive an email receipt.
    • The unique confirmation number will also be displayed in the tenant ledger.
  • If an ACH payment is returned, will RPPS automatically charge the NSF fee?
    • Yes, you will see the payment reversed on the ledger and RPPS will collect the NSF fee from the tenant directly.
  • In which states is ResidentDirect currently offered?
  • If tenants need to cancel a payment, what can they do?
    • The tenant can cancel any future dated online payment or same day payment prior to 3:00 P.M. CST.
    • The tenant will need to contact consumer support between 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. CST at 1-844-530-5785 or email RealPagePaymentsServices@realpage.com.
